I think of poetry as a type of way to express your feelings. I think that when people write poems they show and write how they feel. Every time I have read a poem I think that the poet has let their true feelings out. I some times let there feelings out in such a way that we sometimes can’t understand it. They put words into it that we don’t hear everyday. I think people use it to let anger out or to weep in there own way, or to express how happy they are. I think that is some of the concepts of poetry. I also think that poetry can be explained in many different ways.
I think my experiences with poetry have been ok. They haven’t been to fun I think. My teachers in the past have made it a kind of miserable thing. They just didn’t seem to care if we knew what it meant or not. I think most of the poems I have read were pretty simple. They were mostly about animals and nature. Like for example Robert frost or Allen Poe. They also seemed to get to the point, like no difficult words and words that we used every day. I guess that is one thing I liked about the poems we read because they were some what easy.
I think poetry is a good way for people to show how they feel. That is one thing I like about poetry. I also like the creativity that people have for it. They seem to put so much in to it. The reason why I like poetry is because I have written it a couple of times and it’s a good way to relive stress and say have you felt. Because of poetry people have written some of the best work ever written. It is very important to people who are scared to say how they feel.
I think it is important because people who read poetry can sometimes relate to it. They feel how the poet felt. They think about their pain or their happiness. I think that might make people feel that they should write poetry. When ever I hear poetry it makes me think about how that person felt when they were writing it. When ever they use words that you don’t quite understand it makes you wonder why they used that word. The reason why I think poetry is important to the world is because people can learn off of it. Those are the reasons I think it is important.

I think poetry is a word of love. It talks about a lot of love and emotions. Poetry is something mostly females like, because they are into love dove kind of things. Most males really don’t like to share their emotions unless it is getting mad. Poetry has allotted to do with the way someone feels in life. It also has the way to make someone in a mad mood, joyful. Poetry is basically stanza’s written in love are the way someone fells are acts. The way someone feels and acts have allotted to do with attitude.
I have read some poetry in school. I really can’t remember it though. I think that it is because I really don’t get into poems. It is always about love are emotions. Me personally I don’t like to share my emotions. I think if someone is bothering me then someone can see it on my face. I shouldn’t have to write it down. Everyone has their ways of showing their feelings and poetry isn’t mine.
I feel poetry has its meaning in some way. It also has its way on everyone. Everyone looks at poetry a different way. If everyone looked at it the same way then I don’t think people would be what they are today. Poetry has a lot of emotions that can make someone in a better mood. I don’t think poetry can be read to me and make me change my attitude. Unless it has a very good point to it. Then it would be able to change my attitude.
I don’t feel that poetry has anything to do with today society. People are to worried steeling gas to fill their cars. Poetry really doesn’t0
Have anything to do with people in their worries. It has a lot to do with people getting romantic and trying to find there love I guess. No one in real life actually wants to sit down and write poetry. Unless you are going to get paid for it. I really don’t think poetry have anything to do with people life’s in the generation.

Poetry is a way of expression. It is a way to share something. Or for some it may be a hobby or even something fun to do. Poetry I think is not an easy way of writing. For me it is complicated to even read and fully understand a poem. Honestly I do not rather enjoy writing a poem either but, if I must well then I must. I have read a few short poems that I have liked but they are nothing like the ones I have read in class. That is because they are in another language, Spanish.
The previous experiences that I have had in the past with poetry have been only two. Last semester in Mr. Jolly’s class we had a poetry project that I did not like one bit. Everyone in the class had to take a poem and answer hard questions about them. Also they were not just any regular poem one was Shakespeare and was extremely hard to understand. I have only read a couple poems that I have enjoyed; one that my classmate Brittany just introduced to me is from Shell Silverstein it was good, simple, and easy to understand. The others that I have read are in Spanish they were the types of poems one would give to a boyfriend or girlfriend to have.
My honest opinion about how I feel about poetry is that I really don’t like it. There are only 2 exceptions the ones that have to do with love in Spanish and the funny simple ones in English. Those two are the only ones I seem to understand.
No, I do not feel that poetry is important in today society. The reason I feel this was is because I don’t see it, I don’t see the majority of people feeling that it is. I don’t see poetry when I turn on the television at home. Also I don’t see it around me as I go about my regular day. The only place that I see poetry is in literature class, everyday at Polaris Evening School.
